Cafe bar style micro pub. Plenty of outdoor seating to the front, which made for a pleasant sun trap when I visited back in June. Looked to be fairly popular at 11:30-ish on a Monday morning. It also claims to have a beer garden at the rear, but I didn't investigate.
At the bar I think there were five cask ales - not all were mega exciting but a couple of local-ish ones available. I found the service to be friendly and the bloke behind the bar was chatty and engaging. I'd be happy to go back.

Modern quasi-micro (in the sense that it's small but there's TV and music) housed in a quirky Art Deco building (look up and see the palm tree motif!). Quite neatly done inside with white n’ light shades, tiled floor, wood plank ceiling and servery. Large suntrap front seating area with what looked like a retractable roof. Five cask from small local breweries; I went for Corby Blonde (NBSS 3.5) and Hophurst Porteresque (3). Slightly put out by the attitude at the bar, my first order was loudly deemed to be almost end of barrel but they didn't sit it to see, I had to trudge up to get it changed when it inevitably didn't clear two minutes later. Got a half apology but why let it happen when you already knew it was a potential problem?
